Vancouver, December 6, 2025. CGN Group has officially launched TechScoop Canada, a new publication focused on the country’s technology and startup ecosystem, and introduced CGN Studios, a dedicated division for digital products and storytelling. Together, the two launches mark the next phase of CGN’s growth as a media and technology company.
TechScoop Canada went live at 10:42 a.m. Vancouver time, joining TechScoop India as part of CGN’s growing network of tech-focused brands. CGN Studios will sit alongside these titles as the group’s creative and product engine, with its first consumer app scheduled for release in the coming weeks.
“We are building a network, not a single site,” said CGN founder and CEO Michael E. Cunningham. “TechScoop Canada gives us a clear, consistent voice on Canadian innovation, while CGN Studios is where we design the tools and experiences that sit behind the network.”
TechScoop Canada: A Dedicated Lens on Canadian Tech
TechScoop Canada will focus on local reporting and analysis across funding rounds, emerging startups, research labs, and the broader forces shaping Canada’s innovation economy. The publication combines curated feeds, automation, and editorial checks to keep coverage fast while maintaining accuracy.
“Canada has a serious technology story that often gets folded into broader North American coverage,” Cunningham said. “TechScoop Canada exists to follow that story on its own terms and timeline.”
CGN Studios: Where Technology and Storytelling Meet
CGN Studios is being positioned as the creative and technology arm of the group, responsible for building apps, experimenting with new formats, and producing original video and digital storytelling. The studio’s first app is in final development and will roll out in the coming weeks.
“The studio is where we test ideas, ship product, and learn quickly,” Cunningham noted. “It supports the newsrooms, but it also has permission to explore new concepts that may become their own lines of business.”
A Network-First Strategy
With TechScoop India, TechScoop Canada, and CGN Studios now aligned under one structure, CGN is pursuing a network-first strategy that blends automation, targeted brands, and shared infrastructure. Each outlet keeps a distinct editorial voice while benefiting from shared technology and distribution.
The group plans to refine its internal tooling, expand audience development efforts across LinkedIn and other channels, and continue to evaluate new markets where its model can be replicated.
